Does everyone get approved for Byte? ›

Byte is designed to work for minor to moderate alignment issues, including correcting spacing, crowding between teeth and rotation. Your at-home impressions will be used to determine if you're a good candidate for Byte aligners. If you're not, you'll get a full refund for the price of the Impression Kit.

Yes and no. it is a little complicated. Sure, Byte will work if you have minor tooth issues and problems, such as minor orthodontic relapse or one or more slightly crooked front teeth. However, it is not a comprehensive orthodontic treatment.

Severe open bites, severe overjet, severe overbite, tooth malocclusion requiring surgical correction, mixed dentition (both infant and adult teeth), dental prosthetics or dental implants, active periodontal disease, active tooth decay or dental caries, permanent retainers, mental illness or PETG material allergy.

Procedure. Using Byte is a relatively quick procedure when compared to traditional braces—a key reason it's very appealing to teenagers and adults. The typical treatment plan at Byte takes three to six months and is often faster than similar at-home clear aligner competitors.

Experts say aligners have an 80% to 90% success rate in people with mild to moderate tooth issues, but they should be worn for at least 22 hours per day to be most effective.

If you do not have enough credit to pay for the entire amount of your aligner treatment, you can use CareCredit to pay for your down payment and set up an additional method for your monthly payments, such as paying from your FSA (flexible spending account), HSA (health savings account), or checking account.

As there is a limitation to how much clear aligners, by themselves, can move the teeth, Byte cannot fully correct an overbite, underbite, or an open bite, which would require either traditional braces, attachments, rubber bands, expanders, and in some cases, jaw surgery.
